Digipak Examplars

On our college website (Wyke College), there is a designated section to just for our media course. Upon this section are various pieces of help for us as students such as clips that we have looked at and other things we may not understand, another thing that is within this section, is a link to a website called Disc Wizards (www.discwizards.com/cd-dvd-artwork-templates.htm). 

From this link we can scroll down the Disc Wizards page which is a selection of digipak templates. 

This is helpful in giving me the opportunity  to choose which style of digipak I want to use for my final digipak.

 I have  looked at the following digipaks- 

Colour Swatching

The following images were generated by the site 'Pictalous'

- This site (Pictalous) is a site in which you can import your own images into it. It then generates a palette of colours for me to play around with.

- This is going to really help me when building my digi-pak, as I can import my own images and then see what colours come from it to keep a conventional scheme throughout.

First Image:

This is an image that I came across during research, I think I would like something like this for part of my ancillary texts, I think to achieve this it would be rather difficult and I may not be able to achieve this.
I like the colour scheme which was generated from this image however I don't think it fits greatly with my whole image of my piece.
However the concept of the image is quiet good.











Second image:


This is an image that I found really inspirational.
I hope if I cannot create the above I could create something like this.
I think this colour palette is more fitting to my piece as it portrays the depression and darkness of his emotions. However there are a few song on my album that my allow a hint of colour.
I'm not sure whether I will be able to edit the smoke correctly to blend into my actors body but hopefully this is achievable.

The production number, "Moving Pictures," sung by Tony-winning Academy Awards host Neil Patrick Harris and "Into the Woods" star Anna Kendrick, was written by Academy Award-winning "Frozen" songwriters Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Up Here).

The visuals edited Harris into classic films from "The Wizard of Oz" to "Star Wars" to "Into the Woods."
The middle section of the song, as sung by Jack Black, aped Stephen Sondheim's "Witch's Rap" from Into the Woods, and he warned Harris that he would be “better off polishing your Tony." Kendrick drove him off by yelling “Beat it” and flinging her Cinderella shoe at him.

Day 10- Weather

When filming the other day we had a major problem with filming due to the weather, the wind caused disruption to both the location as things such as leaves etc. kept on falling into my shots. It also started raining so it meant that there was great difficulty in trying to film, my scenes in the dark as the rain kept on hitting the lens and ruining the shots,  some shots worked well as shown below :

1- I have been really ill for over two weeks and have been to the doctors twice, this has caused me to miss lessons within college, due to the fact that I couldnt move properly, prior and currnetly I have had issues at home in which my teacher has been informed, this has caused large dissruption to getting filming days in. To help ensure my time has still been used I have looked and researched upon my main blog things about my ancillary texts.

Creating Magazine Advertisment drafts

Digipak

This is the digipak template that I have been looking at to use, I have looked at this one as it is a 6 panel, 2 disc template. This will allow me to be unique with my digipak and also allow me to use more than one design, looking at the templates it is useful understand sizes and designs I will need to create for my piece.

Problems during filming

Today We had a major problem with filming due to battery on the camera which I booked out being faulty, meaning if it was moved slightly it would turn off. This meant my scheduled filming for today was void and couldn't be continued however I have planned to re-film later in the week.
